Similarly, to seeing any large empty room, when we started building this winery, we were convinced that we had ample space. With a fairly large warehouse cleared out, we were sure that all of our tractors, farm supplies, winemaking equipment, and inventory would easily fit into the space we had. However, as we started to build our winery within the existing infrastructure, we quickly realized that space became a commodity - one that we did not have nearly enough of. Everything pointed to one easy solution: build a tasting room. A space where we could hold inventory and host our members for tastings on appointment or at events. So, we did! Along with the renovation of The House (coming soon!), we levelled the existing barn and started from scratch. The plan was to have this tasting room complete by late December. As you’ll notice from the pictures above, which were taken last week, we are far from complete and therefore significantly off schedule. But we have hope and are extremely excited that we’ll get to have a space that our members can enjoy with us. We plan to have things wrapped up by end-of-May and are driving towards our June 10th Inaugural Summer Tasting. So, while we look forward to hosting everyone in a month’s time, we may suggest not leaning on any of the walls, as the paint may still be wet!
